FCA Competition Review- Surveys
The Federation of Canadian Archers (FCA) has started a competition review
project which is expected to be completed by January, 2009. The review was
approved in response to a recommendation coming out of the FCA's work on its
Long-term Archer Development Model (LTAD).
Competition is a powerful factor in archer development. The format of
competitions, the distances shot, the progression of difficulty from entry-level
to elite, all influence archer development and success. It is essential that
competitions be organized to meet archery development needs.
In the first phase of the review we are asking for your assistance in collecting
data about archery competitions. There are two on-line surveys to complete
(links below). Please complete the appropriate survey, and pass on the links to
your archery community. We will be collecting survey information until October
31.
The surveys are currently available in English. French versions will be
available shortly.

Thank you- the more information we can collect, the better we will be able to
assess the competition program.
